The Rural Municipality of Gimli has many public parks that provide wonderful spots for a picnic, family gathering, group game, or just a relaxing rest on a blanket.
Located on the shores of Lake Winnipeg at the east end of 10th Avenue,
This park offers a new play structure, a large grassy picnic area, and a small secluded beach that’s ideal for the "stone skipper”.
Located just south of Gimli at the corner of PTH #9 and Willow Creek Road.
This park is home to a great sunny picnic area. Willow Creek winds its way through this park making it a fabulous place for casting a rod.
Located at the south end of 3rd Street in South Beach.
This beach park offers a long stretch of sandy picnic area. The lush trees that line the beach provide cool shady spots for when the sun gets too hot. At night this area offers a most spectacular view of the Harbour lights.
Harbour Park (Bill's Hill)
Located at the south end of 1st Avenue in downtown in Gimli.
Created the millennium year from the materials dredged out of the Gimli Harbour, this park is located on a beautiful grassy knoll that offers a breathtaking view of our precious Lake Winnipeg. A point of interest in this park is the Replica Viking Sod Hut. This location is the perfect place to greet the boaters coming into the harbour or to bid a farewell to the ones departing. While visiting take note of the world famous Viking Statue who stands impressively proud at the foot of the knoll.

Nestled in the heart of the Gimli Harbour.
This park provides a lively atmosphere for a gathering and a perfect spot for the "photographer” to capture the award winning photo. The beauty of the Harbour is enhanced with the Murals on the dock, a mystic wishing fountain, and a large outdoor stage. Remember to taste the freezing cold artesian well water that bubbles out from the authentic well.
Gimli Beach Park
Located a pebble’s throw east of First Avenue in downtown Gimli.
This beach park offers all of summer’s treasures. There is a long stretch of brightly colored picnic tables, a terrific fun-packed play structure for the kids, a concession stand for delicious summer fare, and a long boardwalk for a brisk early morning walk or a serene evening stroll. This beach park is monitored daily by our Beach Patrols.
Gimli Park / Spray Park
Located on the North side of town on Amisk Drive and 4th Avenue.
This park houses a brand new play structure and spray park, a large grassy picnic area, the historical building known as the Pavilion, and an outdoor stage which hosts a variety of events during the summer.
Loni Beach Sports Park
Located on the west side North Colonization Road in Loni Beach.
This park is for the sports orientated visitor as it comes complete with baseball diamonds, soccer fields, and a huge toboggan hill for great winter fun.
Located on Centennial Road next to the Gimli Rec Centre.
The Gimli Skatepark is a new 10,000 square foot concrete park. The park has 4 stair sets, ledges, handrails, a horseshoe bowl, taco, benches, a euro gap, and a grass gap - a wide variety of features with something for all skill levels to enjoy. The park is great for use by skateboarders, BMX bikers and in-line skaters. There is also a shelter building, picnic tables and benches for skaters and spectators, as well as lighting for evening use of the park.
Located 10 miles North of Gimli along PR222 at the east end of Spruce Bay Road.
The drive to this park is most scenic. Once at the park you will discover a large grassy picnic area, a baseball diamond, and a delightful sandy beach.
Located on PTH #222 in Arnes.
This park commemorates the world renowned Artic Explorer, Vilhjamur Stefansson who was born in this tiny Interlake hamlet. The park offers a picnic area and a most interesting statue of the explorer.
